The fashion industry is very hard to get into,but with determination,you sure can pull through. Sometimes,it gets really frustrating for me,especially having to send loads of letters,applying for an internship or being an assistant and after a long wait,i get no reply.i just get up and try again.

she said: read voraciously,become a film buff,be ready to forget sleep exists,learn constantly.
she said: be ready to sweep someone's carpet,just for titbits of knowledge. dont expect to make any money for years. soak up everything you can,both formally through school,if you can and informally through internships/assisting etc.
she also said: most importantly,throw out any Ego,Pride and Delusions of Grandeur out the window.
