Oh yeah... Last night, I went out! Threw all caution, dropped all responsibilities and went out to act like an irresponsible 21year old. (Struggling with writing a press release, researching for a project and reading my public finance note right now.*sighs*).
Anyways, I stayed off alcohol for months, but the vodka bottle looked too hot to pass last night (
hangover is a ...! Urrgghh) I think I have grown so old for heels and bandage dresses... So I wore this brown lace dress gifted to me by Arieta Mujay and a pair of Brogues.
My recent love for brogues is surprising... Who knew they could look so cute and give off that "feminine meets masculine" vibe so effortlessly. I mean... They look so old English and fabulous.
Last night was the final "faffing around" day. As usual, I took pictures! :)
Enjoy:-

MY FAVE EARRINGS!

I had to climb a chair… my friends take silly-ass pictures.

MY FRIENDS;-

Before the vodka hit in and the DJ seduced me to the dance floor with Every gyal by chipmunk and movado (
MOVADO IS A BEAST.!!)... I noticed that clubbing business in Lagos is a serious thing. With weaves long enough to reach the floor, short dresses that requires the wearer tugging it all night and tattoos in full display... Girls weren't joking at all. The DJ at the club (Movida for nigerians or lagosians.) was on point. LORD! I danced myself to stupor. LOL

Too tired right now... But I will survive.

Been a long day, I must confess. Today, I had to style 2 looks for a creative brochure for the British council. The specified looks were a fierce look and an extra look.
The shoot took place in Photographer, Obi Somto’s studio. I really hate studio shoots, but I felt right at home with my Florence and the machine songs blasting loud outta the stereos. (I absolutely adore Florence Welch!! *sighs*)
While waiting for the models to arrive, Somto took some pictures and portraits of me. My outfit is actually a romper. I love the awkward fit because if it is any tighter, I risk showing the whole world my butt crack. This made me refrain from making it tighter below. It is really comfy and the flowers and cut gives me a retro vibe. LOOVVEE EETT!
Enjoy the pictures;-

Dancing to “Rabbit heart” by Florence and the machine!

OKAY! O_O

For the extra look, I decide to go for something colorful and sweet. Of course I think a corset and  maxi skirt is a weird combination but a Perfect way to wear a corset during the day. Add a turban and POW! Amazing ethnic look.

The fierce look can’t be released now because it’s the main look. Of course this extra look will be added but another different shot. J

On Saturday, September 24, 2011 I had to style a shoot and as usual, I dressed comfortably. After various outfit changes, I went along with these Crop top and high-waisted shorts. The Crop-top is a piece from MOOFA’s new S/S 2011 collection and it’s made out of jersey and really comfy. I know y’all are tired of seeing the name, MOOFA but whenever I fall in love with a fashion brand, personality, film, colour etc, I keep on going on and on about them like a broken record. *chuckles*
Anyways, here is what I wore. The “behind the scene” pictures shall be posted soon. J

Since they stay steady staring... why not take a picture with them! LOL

Yesterday, StyleMania Magazine hosted a party for Ace TV personality, Funmi Iyanda. She is also on the cover of the recent StyleMania Magazine, where she looked dazzling in a Bridget Awosika dress.
It was really weird dressing up for the event, knowing that such events, I am always backstage in my flipflops, brogues or sandals. Felt weird walking the red carpet. This dress is by MOOFA and I was really skeptic about it during my fittings, but was persuaded to try it on by the designer and my friends. When I wore it, I fell in love instantly. The print is actually so cool and the “shredded” thingy on it gives it a different vibe. Any outfit that is weird and unconventional, Onyinye Fafi Obi loves it instantly. LOL

PURSE:- Random

You won’t believe how cheap this purse is. Bought it from my “Vintage item” supplier. Don’t know whether it’s vintage or just a random purse.

Close-up on the dress.

I was tired of taking pictures. Nigerians stare a lot, you know.

The event was so lovely. I was really inspired by Funmi Iyanda’s story and the cute things people came on to say about her.

She is absolutely stunning.

My Obsession for anything leather knows no bounds.

I guess leather aficionado and Creative designer of Fashion Brand (Haus of Hercules), Christopher Jeje knew of my recent obsession with leather totes and decided to heed my prayer and sent me an awesome print leather tote. I screamed with excitement when I entered my school apartment after a long day at fittings to see it. My “thank yous” poured out profusely.

The tote is one of the numerous designs from the Haus of Hercules’ recent collection called “EKOpolitan Memoirs”. The tote is made from 100% leather and Ankara. The traditional meets modern vibe just slays me! AWESOME!
The Look Book isn’t out and I just can’t wait to see the other designs. They have Bags for both Ladies and Gentlemen, so no one is getting left out. LOL

AWESOME PRINT!

I had to run some fashion errands for an upcoming shoot that I had, so I didn’t feel like dolling up, but my HOH tote was the pop, my outfit needed to go from Drabby to Casual Chic.
