I am not fond of putting look-books that I didn’t style up on here, but I couldn’t resist breaking the rule for this collection. The Youth collection by Andrea Iyamah is too catchy for words. Blame it on my Love for bright, bright colours. Each piece is distinct on its own and stands out.

I LOOOOVVVEEE EETTT…!!

SHOE-ORGASM;- F**K YOU,LANVIN

Posted by mickung
It’s stale news that I actually use curse words when I am angry, pissed, tired etc.
Right now, I am really angry at Lanvin.
Yes. . . You heard me right. . . LANVIN.!!
Why do the best thing in fashion have to be so expensive? Working in fashion and closely with designers have shown me that the price actually depends on variables such as Cost of Production, Branding fees, The luxe materials/fabrics used in making the pieces, etc.
It’s still not fair that the best things should be so expensive for an average fashion enthusiast like me.

These Lanvin Escarpin snake-print wedges cost $1,120. That is  approximately N168, 000 in naira. How is that fair.??? Just tell me.!! My Father would send me to an early grave if I dare say I want these shoes.
*sighs*

KELLY ROWLAND WEARING “MY” SHOES.! L

Boring Sunday! Blame me not... I decided to do nothing productive today. Proposals to write, Articles to whip up and Emails to send, but today seemed perfect to faff around.
I whipped out my camera and asked my sister to take pictures of me in her room, like a mini Photo shoot. I was so excited when my sister agreed to take pictures of me. Zee homegirl doesn’t roll that way. LOL!
The Tshirt’s by MOOFA and she does exquisite designs with Ankara details and jersey fabric. No designs are the same thing. I picked this t-shirt because of the huge Ankara details on it. No, it ain’t detachable… it’s sewn round the t-shirt. J

TSHIRT BY MOOFA.
SHORTS;- Random

OH LAWD! THE POSE THOUGH. . . X_X

These Ankara accessories are by MariamMoussa. The neckpiece is actually plaited Ankara that drops down the neck. LAAVVV THHEEMM!!! J

I ACTUALLY FELT LIKE A PRIESTESS. LOL!

Ideas rule the world. . . Manpower doesn’t., so my Dad says.
These words stuck to my head so bad and has changed my way of reasoning. In order to rule the career you are in, you have to be able to think up new innovative ways to stay ahead.
I have resorted to reading Fashion e-books, training myself in PR strategies and aligning myself to working with fashion Gurus.
I am in no haste to stand on my own. I have to learn and be the best at what I do.
You should think hard to be the best at what you do too.

As usual, I forgot this post in my draft and didn’t find it till now. There was a show called THE NEHEMIAH PROJECT which I worked on with the creative director, Debs Adebiyi. The show was all about youth empowerment, to encourage people to follow their dreams, irrespective of the bullshit life throws at us. It wasn’t easy and I took on 2 duties, being an assistant creative director and also a stylist at the show.

To ensure that the show runs smoothly, it required me going back and forth, checking on the DJ to make sure he has the runway songs, checking on the set manager to ensure he knows when to put on and put off the halogen lights and getting the models ready for the main show etc
I had the opportunity of styling the Odio Mimonet pieces for the show. The designer, Mrs Odion Oseni was so calm and cool, and made sure we took notes of what she wanted.
The models were part of a youth empowerment brand and were following their dreams to become models. The girls had never modeled before, so we had to teach catwalk and please the crowd, especially because Model scouts were sitted, waiting for them to strut the runway.

I nearly gave up hope and we were so stunned at the way the models rose and gave it their best. I was so inspired and almost shed a tear, because there is nothing stronger than determination and passion. NOTHING!

CLOSE-UP!

CLOSE-UP!
Sorry about the crappy pictures!
I was in such a haste to take the pictures and get back to my other duties.

Wana Sambo clothing showed at the Vivendi Fashion recently. Not only did the pieces wow me... it also followed a theme as the pieces were designed with only one fabric in mind.
