Jump SQ magazine will give more details this week but it is confirmed!

'The November issue of Jump Square Magazine that goes on sale in Japan next week will formally announce the development of an Ao no Exorcist (Blue Exorcist) motion picture. The TV series has been simulcasting online, and Aniplex USA will begin distributing the TV series on American DVD next month.'

If it's in the works already, it could be out by next year! :)

The series by Kazue Kato has exploded with popularity and success!

The 7th manga volume of this acclaimed series has sold over 432,000 copies last month, and it ranked #1 in Oricon charts.

As for the novel, titled Blue Exorcist: Weekend Hero, sold 62,000 copies in its first week. The new development was illustrated by Kazue Kato and Aya Yajima.

Shueisha ran a first print run of one million copies for Blue Exorcist's seventh manga volume, and it was the first manga from Jump Square magazine to reach that milestone.

Since the television anime version premiered this past April, the print runs for this manga's first printings have grown more than seven times larger. Shortly after the anime was announced, the fifth manga volume shipped with a first printing of 140,000 copies last December.

Just before the anime premiered on April 17, the sixth manga volume shipped with a 260,000-copy first printing. Due to bookstores reporting that they were selling out of earlier volumes, Shueisha decided to dramatically increase the print run for the seventh volume. Viz Media publishes the manga in North America, and Aniplex is streaming the anime.

This would be the third trailer from the upcoming series, as it shows more details on the dialogues and more insight on Rin.

The quality of the animation is top-notch! This series will be a hit!

The trailer is available here, at the official website of the series.

An alternate, abridged version is on youtube:

This was just released yesterday on the official site of this new series that will premiere on TBS on April 2011.

This one below is the longer version:

Rin looks hot!

The first thing I knew when I got back my internet connection was the news that there's already a preview trailer for Ao no Exorcist's anime, available on the official site!

The series is set to premiere on April of 2011, almost the same time the manga will get licensed by Viz Media for distribution in the U.S.

Somehow I wish it was Bleach-level of epic, but let's see.

A new interactive site of the upcoming anime has been launched and it can be accessed here

The site features a countdown clock to the premiere and a little teasing game in which you have to kill the 'particle demons' possesing your screen!

It's definitely is a good time to be a fan of this manga! I thought it would take longer to become an anime!

This series by Kazue Kato, also known as Ao no Exorcist for manga readers, will have an anime adaptation for next year, while the manga will be licensed by Viz Media to come out in April for North America.

This was announced by the official site of Shueisha's Jump Square Magazine, which just uploaded the January cover of the magazine with this great news.

As we know, this is the story of Rin Okumura, a boy raised by a famous exorcist named Father Fujimoto. After an argument between the two, Rin discovers he is the son of Satan.

OMG!!!!! I'm excited!!!! I knew that this would happen sooner or later with the success that this series is having!!!!!

*hyperventilates then passes away*

According to U.S publisher Simon & Schuster, the first volume of author Kazue Kato's Ao no Exorcist (also known as Blue Exorcist) will be released by Viz Media on April of next year. This is great news since it will mean that this manga will have more diffusion across international audiences, and it clearly deserves it!

Ao no Exorcist started being serialized by Shueisha's Jump Square magazine in April of 2009. It is the story of Rin Okumura, a boy who discovers he is the son of Satan.

XD

This is an interesting but little known manga that I'm sure it won't take long to eventually take the big step into anime.

Also known as Blue Exorcist, its author is Kazue Kato and it began to be published by Shueisha in April 2009.

With the visual style of D-Grayman, its premise is simple but it hits you on the face on the first pages: Rin is the typical boy who lives fighting in the streets, is an orphan and lives in a monastery.

His protector, father Fujimoto, constantly fights with him so he can finally get a job, because when he reaches 16, he can't stay at the shelter anymore.
His twin brother, Yukio, is more reserved, shy and a pacifist. Yukio is accepted into the True Cross Academy for his medicine studies.

In a fight with an enemy of his neighborhood, Rin discovers he can see demons and also has supernatural powers to combat them.

When father Fujimoto comes to exorcise the demon that was hounding Rin, he reveals the thing he least imagined in his short and difficult life: he is the son of Satan with a human woman.

This manga definitely has the potential to be the next Bleach in terms of a supernatural theme. The Saint Seiya style fights are there, the drama of being half-human half-demon is there, too. The tone is also very similar to Death Note, in the Gothic look of the panels and the characters.

You can get this manga on scanlation sites, it's currently 15 chapters and 3 volumes long but well worth it!

Here's a preview:
