Hello Fashion Phoenixes..

Amazing week so far,aye..?? :)

I promised to show the lovely pieces of Kosibah in a post.. Well.. HERE IT IS..!!! ^_^

Kosibah is a fashion brand,owned by Yemi Osunkoya. my love for Kosibah can be traced back to when i was 18,bored and flipping through a magazine called Ovation and seeing Beautiful brides wearing his wedding gowns and hoping he would make mine when i am all grown up. Fuck Vera Wang... Kosibah is making my wedding dress. *Onyinye shrug*

Kosibah's pieces,both evening and bridal wears are amazing. his attention to detail is what i adore about him. his use for corset and cut is distinctly made to emphasize and flatter the curves. his designs have a seductive feel and gives out modern elegance. his use of traditional fabric,such as Aso-Oke for some of his pieces shows his love for his Homeland.

I was also captivated by his wedding dresses. Each piece,different from each other..!! "DREAMS AS WEDDING DRESSES",i called them. *sighs*

I had fun assisting backstage.. the head stylist,Veronica made me laugh all the time.. She is so funny and cool. the Models were funny and made me laugh also and the designer's presence was overwhelming. he was so calm and humble. :)

I LOVE MY JOB..!! ^_^

I AINT REALLY PSYCHED ABOUT HAVING A BIG BALL DRESS OR LONG ASS TRAIN ON MY WEDDING DRESS.

The Hair was amazing and just what the designer wanted. Kudos to the Hair and Makeup stylists.

Hello Fashion phoenixes,

Its been a long week.. Fashion shows.. Fashion shows.. Fashion shows..!!

Feels like I haven't had any time to myself.. I am too busy writing articles,sourcing pictures and Getting everything ready for the fashion shows.

AS A FASHION ENTHUSIAST,I GO HARD...!!!!!!!!!

Even when i end up having a whole day to sleep,i still wake up feeling so miserably tired. staying on my feet for 13hours working backstage on a designer's collection ain't no easy feat. like i always say.. FASHION STYLING AIN'T NO GLAMOROUS THING.

Yesterday,i had the opportunity of assisting a major stylist,Veronica Odeka at a fashion show for Kosibah. my love for Kosibah will be written in my next post with pictures of his amazing pieces.

Recently,It occurred to me that half of my clothes in my closet belonged to my Momma and Poppa. completely stolen and modified to suit my taste. *sighs*

This skirt was originally my mum's,i took it and modified it..!! (*SNIFFS* SORRY MUM..!!). I love the zig-zag print and the tribal feel it gave the whole outfit. I had my friend take me pictures on the street of Lagos,completely ignoring the rude stares from passer-bys. sheeshh.. why cant people just pass and mind their business. *hiss*

The Theme of the shoot has to be "FINDING FASHION PHOENIX,A MEANS TO GET TO HER DESTINATION".

I am off to overdose on coffee,I got another fashion show to Battle tomorrow.
