Nigerian designers stay steady being an inspiration to me! I am always amazed at their lush fashion studios and awesome pieces laid out for purchase. Although the thought of grabbing one piece and running out of the studio always comes to my mind… their studios are always so comfortable, I never want to leave.
Today, I went to the House 38 studio to pull pieces for a shoot and I was so stunned. The colour of the wall, the carefully arranged pieces on racks, the wide array of fashion magazines kept on the table et al proved that it was my kinda environment! YEAH!
The house 38 sisters, D and S were so kind, they let me take pictures of the store and drool in appreciation of their attention to detail and beading of the pieces!

Rising star designer Toju Foyeh is unveiling her new collection during New York Fashion Week. She will be debuting the new collection with budding designer HVS by Bukola Are (House of Versatile Style) during New York Fashion Week at 320 Studio, 320 West 37th St 14th Floor, NY, NY 10018 7 pm.
Her stunning new collection for Spring/Summer 2012; highlights her signature cocktail and evening dresses that are bold, sexy and elegant.
Also, bag designers, O'eclat and Jidz shall be showcasing their bags alongside the pieces.
Uber-awesome!
Wish I was in New York for this. I pray for more fashion collaborations, in order to place the Nigerian fashion industry on the global map.

This is an event for budding Make-up artists. It is a workshop which involves a 1 week professional class that starts from 5th of September and ends on the 10th of September.
There is also 1 day elegance and poise class that will take place on the 10th of September 2011.

Today was the Elite Model Look competition Fittings and I spent time trying to fit the models into the pieces with the head stylist, Veronica Ebie - Odeka.
With awesome designers on board like Republic of foreigner, Bridget Awosika, Eki Orleans, Virgos Lounge, and Swimwear designer, Melissa Odabash, I am not exaggerating when I say the show is gonna be awesome.
I work closely with Veronica and she has a styling outfit called Vane style. Her style is immaculately clean and she stays stylish all the time. Today’s shoot was not an exception as she stays killing it with her outfit.

I am not fond of putting look-books that I didn’t style up on here, but I couldn’t resist breaking the rule for this collection. The Youth collection by Andrea Iyamah is too catchy for words. Blame it on my Love for bright, bright colours. Each piece is distinct on its own and stands out.

Boring Sunday! Blame me not... I decided to do nothing productive today. Proposals to write, Articles to whip up and Emails to send, but today seemed perfect to faff around.
I whipped out my camera and asked my sister to take pictures of me in her room, like a mini Photo shoot. I was so excited when my sister agreed to take pictures of me. Zee homegirl doesn’t roll that way. LOL!
The Tshirt’s by MOOFA and she does exquisite designs with Ankara details and jersey fabric. No designs are the same thing. I picked this t-shirt because of the huge Ankara details on it. No, it ain’t detachable… it’s sewn round the t-shirt. J

These words stuck to my head so bad and has changed my way of reasoning. In order to rule the career you are in, you have to be able to think up new innovative ways to stay ahead.
I have resorted to reading Fashion e-books, training myself in PR strategies and aligning myself to working with fashion Gurus.
I am in no haste to stand on my own. I have to learn and be the best at what I do.
You should think hard to be the best at what you do too.
