Overview: Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu (Today, Love Starts)
Tsubaki is a girl who loves making her younger sister's hair pretty every morning, but she doesn't think that kind of style suits herself! The day of her High School Beginning Ceremony, after she failed in being the top student (who usually makes the ceremony speech), she finds herself sitting next to the actual top student of the first years, the worst rude guy ever, Kyouta. She ends up cutting his hair on purpose because of the bad things he says to her. Kyouta demands that Tsubaki pay him back with her body, but Tsubaki fixes his hair instead--making it even shorter! After that, Kyouta unexpectedly kisses Tsubaki and swears that he'll make her his woman.

Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu Main Characters:
Hibino Tsubaki

Hibino Tsubaki. The protagonist of the story. She's very timid and conservative girl who wished to walk in the aisle purely untouched, meaning "virgin":-). She oftentimes teased by her classmates especially Kyouta as the "showa girl" from showa era because of her old braided hairstyle. She has never expected to fall in love here in this "worst school with worst people" as she certainly described and never in her dreams did she imagined to fall with this arrogant Kyouta. What will gonna happen to her last resolve when she was head over heels in love with the notorious Kyouta who happens to play along with the girl's feeling? And how could she managed to get into his cold, closed heart that rooted from his past?

Tsubaki Kyouta
Tsubaki Kyouta . The arrogant handsome boy who was known to be a "great playboy". He used to mess up with girl's feeling and usually turned them down once they confessed their true feelings for him. Why is he doing that? And how about Tsubaki? What's really his true intention when he said to her "I'm going to snatch away all your first experiences"?

Sakura
Sakura. Hibino's sister who's super cute and was very popular among the boys. She got her hair nicely done by Hibino every morning. At her visit to Hibino's school, she caught a glimpse of Kyouta who got her attention. Since then, she was trying to get closer to him, visiting him in his work and even sought help from Hibino. But, when she realized that Kyouta wasn't interested at her and Hibino certainly did like him, she gave way. There are times when she help them get together again. She's really a great help for her.

Miho
Miho. Hibino's first friend at school and became so helpful to her, encouraging her to pursue her feelings towards Kyouta. Her cheerfulness brought light to Hibino's gloomy attitude. But, is she really a genuine friend or she was just purely pretending to be? Hibino's so-called "friend" has personal motive but what could it be?

Haru
Haru. Kyouta's childhood friend. He was a foreigner and returned to Japan to study... and also to take revenge? How can he hold grudges against his friend Kyouta? What could be his reason for trying to ruin Kyouta's relationship then?

Nishiki
Nishiki. Kyouta's classmate and co-worker. They worked in the same company for part-time job. His lively and hilarious attitude was just so... funny!LOL. He had a crush on Sakura. Not to mention that he had been helping Kyouta during critical times.

Conclusion:
Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu is absolutely a must-read manga. I strongly recommend this one. The story isn't like mostly of the love stories you've stumbled upon and read over online. It is uniquely made and its artworks are simply fabulous. Not to mention how well-made the drawings are. I love the details of their hairs and eyes. The clothes are undeniably fashionable...well, except for Hibino who lacks fashion sense. But she really improved as the story goes on.
About the story, it's fascinating and compelling. Once you've laid your eyes on it, you'll likely get hooked with it. The story between an old-fashion student and a popular handsome guy is quite exciting, bringing you chills throughout. Feeling like you've drawn into it is inevitable! Ah, i can't explain the feeling. Just read it and you'll know what i mean. Anyway, the story isn't yet finished, so we still have quite a long run to go. I will keep you updated and hopefully, i could find time to update this one, if time permits.:D

Here is the first OVA episode of Kyou, koi wo hajimemasu. However, I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND watching this OVA without reading first the entire manga story. I assure you, you'll definitely get strayed and confused of the story and maybe at some point think that it is a nonsense anime.

My point is, KYOU, KOI WO HAJIMEMASU MANGA is way lot better than its OVA version.:D

Happy reading!
